Do you want to get out in the sun and perform landscaping services yourself? You absolutely can. Many successful lawn care companies are one-person operations. Working by yourself is absolutely an option.

Choosing the best lawn mower can be a tricky task, with so many models on the market and such a wide range of brands. There are five main types of mower available at hugely varying prices and all with different features that need to be considered.

There are a number of factors to take into consideration when choosing the right lawn mower for you. Firstly, you need to decide whether you want a corded electric, petrol, battery-powered cordless or push mower.

This sturdy mower has a 37cm cutting width and useful features including a rear roller for those much desired stripes. Awarded a BBC Gardeners' World Magazine Best Buy for small to medium lawns, clippings are collected in the large 40 Litre fabric grass bag, it offers a wide range of seven cutting heights, from 25-75mm and is easy to fold away at the end of the day. The 40V battery is quick to charge, taking just 50 minutes and when full it has the capacity to cut a 400m2 lawn.

There is a drawback to a good deal, though: You might get stuck with lawn mower models that no one else wants. This includes older mowers that are being phased out, which might make it difficult to repair or replace parts in the future. It could also mean that all of the economy-priced models are out of stock, leaving behind only the top-of-the-line models. These premium mowers will still be at a discount, but they might cost more than you are willing to pay for a mower to begin with.

If you absolutely need a lawn mower before the growing season, now would be a good time to sign up for any store coupons or store credit cards that offer a discount on purchases and use those instead.

After mowing a lawn for a while, you have a pretty good idea of where all the stumps and roots are. That being so, I still find myself grinding down a small tree stump every few months. Even if you're easy on blades, they still wear down and need to be replaced or sharpened regularly.

To avoid an ugly, unhealthy lawn, you should sharpen your blades regularly and replace them as needed. When you sharpen them really depends on your individual usage. Most manufacturers give recommendations in their product manuals, specifying how thick the cutting edge should be before replacing. They also typically include instructions for sharpening.

Similarly, you may be tempted to purchase lawn care insurance with a high deductible because the premiums are cheaper. However, if you lose an essential and particularly expensive piece of gear, a low deductible would help minimize your out-of-pocket costs.

It is a durable, delustered, temperature controlled artificial grass lawn. Our Arizona Platinum - Olive synthetic lawn grass line is made with a premium grade, mini-w fiber. The mini-w also has reduced surface area resulting in a no-shine finish.

Arizona Platinum - Olive Artificial Lawn Grass is 2" tall with an 84 oz face-weight. It is one of our taller and thicker artificial lawns. Your customers are not hiring you to defeat the grubs and other creepy crawlies lurking on the dark side of their turf. They buy lawn care because they care about the health and safety of Little Mary and Tom Jr. And let's not forget Fido whom they just rescued from their local shelter.

Johnny: "Here's your quote Mr. Miyagi. We'll get rid of these weeds... blah blah blah... green up your lawn... blah blah blah... fertilizer... blah blah blah... pH...blah... lime...blah... nitrogen... blah blah blah... just sign here."

Compared to most battery-powered lawn mowers, gas mowers tend to run longer, especially in tough cutting conditions. If you run out of gas, you just have to walk back to the garage or trailer for a refill instead of waiting 45 minutes to more than 3 hours for a battery to charge. In the worst case, you make a 10-minute drive to the gas station.

Price is a big consideration. You can get a gas-powered lawn mower for less than $200 and a really good residential model with a Honda engine starting around $400. To get a battery mower with comparable power, features, and runtime, you can spend hundreds more.

The Home Depot stocks popular brands like Toro, Honda, and Black + Decker and offers a lawn mower rental service, so you can rent a Toro self-propelled mower from four hours up to four weeks. The retailer has every type of mower essential from parts and accessories to commercial mowers, most with free delivery (or select to pick up in-store at a nearby location).

The Ego ZT4204L 42-inch Z6 Zero Turn Riding Mower uses the same style of battery that is in all of their lawn equipment. The mower comes with four 10.0 Ah batteries, but the machine has ports for six, so there is some scalability, especially if you have additional Ego batteries from other tools. The mower also acts as a charger and, according to Ego, once plugged in, can fill all of the batteries in only two hours. Just using the four included batteries, the Ego can cut about 2 acres. 041b061a72
