JR EAST Train Simulator is the official train driving simulation game from major Japanese railway company JR East. The game is being developed by Ongakukan based on the professional simulator that is actually used by JR East drivers for training purposes. Players will take on the role of a train driver and travel along real-life routes.

JR EAST Train Simulator is a train driving simulation game that is being published by Japanese train company JR East and developed by Ongakukan, a company that creates professional simulators for business use. Players will be able to experience what it is like to drive trains on the real-life JR East lines. The game will first be available in early access and will include the following route segments:

When playing the game, you first choose a line and train model before selecting which station along the route that you would like to begin from. There are three difficulty modes in the game, and the Beginner difficulty displays an operation guide, driving instructions, and other helpful information that will make the game easier to enjoy for those who have never played a train driving sim before.

The game is being developed based on the professional simulator that is actually used by JR East drivers for training purposes. The visual scenery that is shown while driving is high-definition live action footage recorded on the JR East lines, and the sounds heard from the trains running on the tracks use audio that was recorded using real-life trains. The instrument panel is a faithful replica that responds just like the real thing, and there are a number of other meticulous details.

In April of this year, four hotels in Japan were offering accommodation packages that included the ability to experience JR EAST Train Simulators that were set up within the hotels. It is unclear what connection these simulators have to the new game, but both are developed by the same company: Ongakukan.

Train Simulator (トレインシミュレーター, Torein Shimyurētā or abbreviated "TS") is a Japanese train simulation game series produced by Ongakukan. The game is significant as it was one of the earliest of its kind since the series started in 1995. No titles were released outside of Asia until the 2022 title JR East Train Simulator.

Each game contains Japanese lines and trains, with the exception of four episodes located overseas, in Germany, France, Taiwan, and the United States of America. Video shot from the cab of the train synchronized with the computer is used as a basis for simulation. Ongakukan have endeavoured to produce true to life simulation with much technical details, and since 2005, Ongakukan has started producing professional simulators for driver training.[1]

East Japan Railway Company will release a simulator game for the global public. The graphics engine is perfunctory. There are options to extend draw distance and toggle some effects, but using these makes the game unplayably slow. However, a click of the left stick toggles an isometric view, with a pleasing, nicely engineered transition, through which the cities look, if we're being generous, quietly characterful. On top of the performance issues, though, we did have two crashes and lost some time, even using autosave to guard against it. (Two patches have been rolled out since release so Artdink is at least attentive.) 59ce067264
