In 2012, AWHS alumni created the Arvada West High School Foundation to assist graduates in their pursuit of a secondary education. Our Scholarships are available to all AW Senior Class graduates interested in pursuing post high education who meet the minimum requirements.

Available Scholarships - 2025
Arvada West H.S. Foundation Scholarship
For all secondary education at an accredited two-year, four-year school - $3,000
When selecting scholarship recipients, the Foundation considers the following:

A minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 (unweighted)
-
Intention to attend an accredited two-year, four-year school following their graduation (as confirmed by an acceptance letter and student identification number from the school)

Completion of the Scholarship Application Package
-
Further consideration will be given for applicants as follows:
-
demonstrated financial need
-
unique family circumstances
-
1st generation secondary education
-

AWHS Foundation WILDCAT Scholarship
For an educational program in the trade and technical fields- $3,000
The Foundation WILDCAT scholarship will consider the following elements:

A minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 (unweighted)

Intention to attend an educational program in the trade and technical fields

Completion of the Scholarship Application Package

Further consideration will be given for applicants as follows:

Bill Ashton Chemistry/Physics Scholarship
For secondary education in chemistry or physics- $3,000
The Bill Ashton Scholarship is dedicated to supporting the teaching and application of chemistry and physics.

This scholarship will consider the following elements:

Intention to attend an accredited two-year, four-year, or trade / technical school following graduation (as confirmed by an acceptance letter and student identification number from the school)

Completion of the Scholarship Application Package

a student who plans to enter a field that is related to the application of chemistry/physics
